PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce brake noise by controlling a dither current superimposed on an indication current imparted to an actuator for driving a brake. SOLUTION: A braking force is generated in each wheel by delivering the indication current to the actuator for driving the brake provided on each wheel according to the stepping of a brake pedal. The dither current to be a vibrating current having a prescribed periodτand an amplitudeΔi is superimposed on the indication current. By the dither current, hysterisis according to a change of the braking force is suppressed. When the generation of brake noise or the possibility of the generation is detected from the vibrating state of a braking device, vehicle speed and an outside temperature, etc. when the braking force is generated, brake noise is reduced or avoided by changing the setting of the periodτor/and the amplitudeΔi of the dither current ((1) to (5)) and transferring a state from a generation region of brake noise to a non-generation region.
