<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily ink for ink-jet printer, with a colorant dispersed homogeneously in microparticles, good in dispersion stability of the colorant dispersion, high in jet stability, and excellent in dryability on printing paper and both water resistance and light resistance of printed images, and also having high fretting resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The oily ink contains colored resin particles which are obtained by the following process: using seed particles consisting of colored component microparticles obtained by dispersing a colored component as a surface-treated colorant in a non-aqueous solvent 1.5-20 in dielectric constant and 15-60 mN/m( at 25°C ), at least one monofunctional monomer(A), at least one macromonomer(M) copolymerizable therewith and at least one dispersion stabilizer(P) as a polymer comprising recurring unit of specific structure with part of the main chain thereof crosslinked, soluble to the non-aqueous solvent, are added to the non-aqueous solvent followed by carrying out a dispersion polymerization in the presence of a polymerization initiator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
