<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardening resin composition which has high sensitivity and favorable developing property and from which a fine color pattern of high density having a favorable edge profile and tapered profile is formed, to provide a color filter of high picture quality and high brightness having a colored layer formed by using the above hardening resin composition, and to provide a liquid crystal panel excellent in the display quality which uses the above color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The hardening resin composition for a color pattern contains at least a coloring agent (a); a photopolymerization initiator having a tertiary amine structure; a photosetting compound (c) having one or more acidic functional groups and three or more photosetting functional groups; and a binder (d). The color filter (103) comprises a transparent substrate and pixels disposed on the transparent substrate, and may have a black matrix layer. The pixels and/or the black matrix layer are formed by hardening the above hardening resin composition.
