POLYMERIC HYDROGEL COMPOSITE, ITS PREPARING PROCESS, AND GEL POROUS BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymeric hydrogel composite consisting essentially of a polylactic acid having biodegradability, a process for preparing the composite, and a gel porous body. SOLUTION: The polymeric hydrogel composite is obtained by freezing and thawing an aqueous dispersion containing the polylactic acid and a polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of 95% or more. The total amount of the polylactic acid and the polyvinyl alcohol in the aqueous dispersion is 5 to 70 mass% to 100 mass% of the whole aqueous dispersion. The polyvinyl alcohol may be 100 parts by wt. or less to 100 parts by wt. of the polylactic acid contained in the dispersion. A gel porous body is obtained by drying the polymeric hydrogel composite.
