PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit which is easily positionally adjusted and assembled and has high manufacturability and is inexpensively manufactured and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The light source unit is provided with a light source part 2 where a plurality of light sources 3 having different radiation angles in two orthogonal directions are two-dimensionally arranged in two directions, a slow optical system 4 having a refracting power in a slow direction of a smaller radiation angle out of two directions, and a fast optical system 7 having a refracting power in a fast direction of a larger radiation angle, and the slow optical system 4 integrally forms a plurality of curved surfaces 4a acting upon luminous fluxes from the plurality of light sources 3, on one optical substrate opposed to the area where the light sources are two-dimensionally arranged. Thus position adjustment of the slow optical system is achieved by only movement of the entire slow optical system, so that position adjustment is made easy to shorten the adjustment time.
