摘要 PURPOSE: An array substrate for a reflective-transmissive mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a fabricating method thereof are provided to reduce a stepped difference area by reducing the length of the circumference of a transmissive part to reduce a disclination area. CONSTITUTION: The first substrate(200) and the second substrate(300) are separately formed. A gate wire(202) and a data wire(214) are vertically crossed on one surface of the first substrate. A pixel area(P) defined by the cross of the gate wire and the data wire has a reflective part(B) with anαsize and a transmissive part(D) with aβsize. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(T) is located in a cross point of the gate wire and the data wire. A protective film(224) located on the TFT has an etching hole(232) with the same shape in response to the transmissive part. A transparent electrode(226) is formed on the protective film in response to the transmissive part. A reflective electrode(222) is formed in response to the reflective part formed on the protective film. A liquid crystal layer(230) is formed on the reflective electrode and the transparent electrode. Color filters(304a-304c) are formed on one surface of the second substrate opposite with the liquid crystal layer. A common electrode(306) is formed under the color filters.
