PURPOSE: An anode for a lithium secondary battery, its preparation method and a lithium secondary battery using the anode are provided, to inhibit the deterioration of current collecting property of an electrode and to improve cycle characteristic. CONSTITUTION: The anode is obtained by sintering an active mass comprising an active material particle comprising silicon and/or a silicon alloy and a binder on the surface(1a) of a metal foil current collector(1) under non-oxidative atmosphere, wherein the uneven projections is formed on the surface of the metal foil current collector, at least some part of the side of the convex part(2) has a re-folded shape which is widen as it approach the terminal part, and the binder is entered into the space of re-folded part(2a). Preferably the active material particle is entered into the space of re-folded part.
