<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment having high instant response capability with extremely small power consumption in a standby mode. <P>SOLUTION: This communication equipment is provided with an asynchronous processor (10) configured so as to perform the next processing asynchronously in accordance with a change in the state of an inputted signal, an oscillation circuit (14 and 15) for generating a synchronizing signal (INT) for notifying the asynchronous processor (10) of the timing for transmitting the data on the basis of an oscillation signal having a prescribed cycle, a transmitting circuit (11) for associating the transmission data transmitted from the asynchronous processor (10) with the oscillation signal from the oscillation circuit, modulating the transmission data and transmitting the transmission data, and a power supply circuit (13) for selectively feeding power to the transmitting circuit (11).
