<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent heat sensitive recording material which is excellent in a head matching property irrespective of being transparent. <P>SOLUTION: In the transparent heat sensitive recording material comprising a heat sensitive recording layer having, as principal components, colorless or light-colored leuco dye, a developer for developing by heating the leuco dye and a binder resin as a binding agent on a transparent plastic base material and a protective layer containing a resin thereon, both particles wherein calcium carbonate of ≤100 mL/100 g in an oil absorbing amount according to JIS K-5101 is dispersed in 0.2-0.5 μm in volume average particle size and a polyvinyl acetal resin given by the general formula (1) (in the formula, R<SP>3</SP>is a 1-3C linear alkyl radical, and l, m and n in mol% represent l+m+n=100%)are contained in the protective layer to characterize the transparent heat sensitive recording material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
