PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for directly producing an acid hydrazide compound in better yield from a carboxylic acid and a hydrazine compound. SOLUTION: The method for producing the acid hydrazide compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R1 is hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an alkylcarbonyl group, an arylcarbonyl group, a cycloalkylcarbonyl group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl or a cycloalkylsulfonyl group; R2 are an alkyl group or an aryl group which may be substituted with more groups selected from an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, hydroxy group, an alkoxy group, a cycloalkoxy group, an aryloxy group, and the like) comprises reacting the hydrozine compound represented by formula (II) (wherein R1 is the same as mentioned above) with the carboxylic acid represented by formula (III) (wherein R2 is the same as mentioned above) in the presence of boric acids.
