PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting apparatus that easily sorts surplus soil or a crushed stone mixture without scattering dust or the like to the surroundings. SOLUTION: In the sorting apparatus, surplus soil is sorted with a separating wire mesh 12 slanted at a specified angle with respect to the horizontal plane, and a second belt conveyor 4 conveys the residue, which does not fall through the openings of the mesh 12 and flows along the mesh 12, toward one direction. The second belt conveyor 4 is covered with a first cover 8, and a first blower 9 blows air into the first cover 8 in the direction opposite to the above-mentioned one direction, so that a lightweight thing such as dust is blown off to separate the residue from dust or the like. The separated dust or the like is blown into a dust collector to be sorted and separated by the size and weight of the dust or the like. Then since a vibration motor 13 is installed at the predetermined position of the back surface of the mesh 12, the sorting capacity of the surplus soil is enhanced by vibrating the mesh 12.
