PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient white organic light-emitting element having a peak at each wavelength range of red, green and blue, especially with its emission spectrum not relying on current density.
SOLUTION: A first light-emitting layer 312 presenting blue-light emission and a second light-emitting layer 313 using a phosphorescent material capable of spontaneously emitting both phosphorescent luminescence and excimer luminescence are combined. At this time, in order to derive the excimer luminescence of the phosphorescent material, it is effective to disperse a phosphorescent material 323 having a high flat structure like a platinum complex in a host material 322 with a high concentration of 10 wt% or higher. Then the first light-emitting layer 312 is provided close to the anode side of the second light-emitting layer 313, and that, the ionization potential of the second light-emitting layer 313 is preferred to be larger by 0.4eV than that of the first light-emitting layer 312.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
|
