PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of efficiently removing metal chloride adhered on surfaces of heat media. SOLUTION: An agitating impeller 24 agitating the heat media 9 is provided in lift pipe 18 of an air lift 15 returning the heat media 9 to an upper heat exchange chamber. The heat media of 300-400°C discharged from a bottom part of a lower heat exchange chamber 4 is rapidly cooled to generate thermal crack on metal chloride adhered on the surfaces of the heat media 9. Metal chloride adhered on the heat media 9 circulated and used is efficiently removed by agitating the heat media 9 having metal chloride having the thermal crack adhered thereon. Consequently, this heat exchange device is constructed to prevent blockage of narrow passage or the like in the heat exchanger due to condensation of the heat media 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
