PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roofing material having novel workability as a roofing material and formed with a waterproofing function, a heat insulating function, a dew proofing function, a snow stop function, and the like. SOLUTION: This roofing material A is formed with a first waterproof piece 13 projected upward from the upstream side tip of a decorative surface 4; a fitting piece 13a projected upstream from the tip of the first waterproof piece 13; a second waterproof piece 13b projected downstream from the tip of the first waterproof piece 13; a fixed piece 15 projected upstream from the tip of the decorative surface 4; a vertical piece 6 projected upward from the downstream side tip of the decorative surface 4; a stepped decorative surface 6a hanging downward from the downstream side tip of the decorative surface 4; an innermost piece 8 projected downward from the vicinity of the tip of the decorative surface 4; and an insertion piece 9 projected downstream from the tip of the innermost piece 8.
