METHOD FOR BLOWING SECONDARY COMBUSTION AIR IN COMBUSTION AND MELTING FURNACE FOR REFUSE TREATMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote re-combustion of non-fused charred residue by blowing air for cooling and secondary combustion to a projection portion formed of a bent duct between a sub combustion chamber and a secondary combustion chamber in a refuse combustion and melting furnace. SOLUTION: A nozzle group 21 for blowing cooling air is embedded in a refractory castable 22 of a projection portion 18 formed of a bent duct between a sub combustion chamber 15 and a secondary combustion chamber 20 in a combustion and melting furnace, and the refractory castable 22 of the projection portion 18 is cooled by blowing cooling air to protect a furnace refractory. The sub combustion chamber 15 and the secondary combustion chamber 20 are partitioned by air curtain formed by blowing air from the nozzle group 21 to prevent movement of hot air. Oxygen fed in an air-curtain manner promotes re-combustion of non-fused char, and is heated at high temperature during the flowing process and prevents the secondary combustion chamber 20 from being cooled. In addition, perfect combustion is performed by preventing short pass of exhaust gas or the like, and expanding the secondary combustion zone. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
