PURPOSE: Provided is a fraction repressing the differentiation stem cells from the extract of Angelica gigas Nakai and method for extracting the same. The fractions increases the repressing rate of the differentiation of stem cells during in vitro cultivation stem cells of an animal or human, and increase cell viability and the growth of the stem cells. CONSTITUTION: The method for extracting fraction having repressing effect on the differentiation of stem cells comprises the steps of: treating Angelica gigas Nakai with supercritical pressure and ultrasonic wave; extracting it with ethanol, followed by concentration; and fractioning the ethanol extract twice.
