<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase outputs by stacking cell units each of which comprises a plurality of generating parts arranged in a plane and to cool the generating parts well using a simple and compact constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of cell units 14 are stacked in the direction of arrow A and enclosed in a casing 12. The cell unit 14 includes an MEA unit 16 and electrically insulating first and second separators 17a, 17b sandwiching the MEA unit 16. The second separator 17b is provided with a guide groove 72 for passing a cooling medium along plane direction. The stacked cell units 14 are enclosed in the casing 12, whereby a cooling medium supply passage 74a and a cooling medium discharge passage 74b integrally communicated with the guide groove 72 of each cell unit 14 are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
