PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display driver for driving data lines without dependence on timing of supplying gradation data, and an electro-optical device including the display driver. SOLUTION: The display driver 200 for driving a plurality of data lines of the electro-optical device includes a fetch start timing setting register 384 for setting a period until the timing to start fetching gradation data on the basis of a given instruction signal for timing to start fetching the gradation data, and a shift start signal generation circuit 388 for generating a shift start signal based on the set content of the fetch start timing setting register 384. The display driver 200 includes a shift register for shifting the shift start signal based on a given shift clock and outputting the shifted output, and data latches having a plurality of FF each of which holds the gradation data based on the shifted output of the shift register, and outputs the data signals corresponding to the gradation data held by the data latches to the data lines.
