PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device, a magnetism detecting system and a magnetism-resident region specifying program capable of highly accurately detecting a position where a magnetism generating matter resides by taking characteristics of a magnetic detection means into consideration to facilitate identification of a magnetism generating source. SOLUTION: A magnetism detection region requiring a detection of magnetism is set at a front surface side of a game device, and a magnetism detection means for detecting emission of magnetism is arranged outside the magnetism detection region as seen from its front surface with its detecting direction being directed toward the magnetism detection region.
