The present invention provides a remote control apparatus based on video image detection, the apparatus includes: image acquisition device for extracting video image and converting the video image into the video signal; selected position calculation device for detecting identification in the video signal and calculating cursor position pointed by the remote control apparatus; instruction input device for inputting the instruction of entering or exiting the menu option selection state to the remote control apparatus; remote control signal transmission device for receiving the cursor position information outputted by the selected position calculation device and transmitting control signal which points the cursor position information, so that the display device shows the object directed by the remote control apparatus. The present invention still includes a remote control system and a remote control method using the remote apparatus.
