PURPOSE: To provide a device for purifying gas that is capable of purifying the gas by attaching a mixture of salt, clay and iron oxide to a chimney or a passage where smoke passes. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises heaters (1,1'), springs or wire rope (3,3') that are wound around the heaters, mixture clay doughs (5,5') that are coated on the springs or the wire ropes and are prepared by kneading a mixture powder consisting of 50-92 wt.% of clay, 3-30 wt.% of iron oxide and 5-20 wt.% of salt with 60-80 wt.% of an adhesive based on a total weight of the clay doughs and water, and blot-nut fasteners (2,2') that allow the heaters to be arranged in gas discharge passages (4,4') in a zig-zag type.
