PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for organic EL(electroluminescent) devices having high luminance and long luminescence life, and to provide the organic EL device using the material. SOLUTION: The organic EL device material consists of a polymer≥1,000 in weight-average molecular weight composed of conjugated units and nonconjugated units, wherein the nonconjugated unit comprises a unit of the general formula[1]( wherein, R1and R2are each independently an alkyl, 6-30C aryl or heterocyclic group ).
