<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lip type seal that can be used in a refrigerator using carbon dioxide or the like as a cooling medium and has a seal lip section with high wear resistance suitable for sealing the high-pressure gas. <P>SOLUTION: The lip type seal is formed by filling a rubber-made seal lip section with carbon fiber.
