PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having high sensitivity, low Dmin, and high storage stability, and having excellent image preservability under light after processing. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material includes an image forming layer including a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, and a binder on a support, wherein (1) a silver iodide content of the silver halide is 80-100 mol%, (2) the silver halide has been spectrally sensitized, and (3) a material capable of reducing emission intensity originating in a phase rich with silver iodide at 77°K by≥10% is included.
