PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a table by which desired table elements having the number of dimensions being≥4 dimensions and a degree can be regularly generated according to a fixed technique by arranging them in a memory of a computer, and the use range of the table is extended, and the utility value and effect of the table can be remarkably enhanced. SOLUTION: The number of dimensions m and a degree n are set, and the sequence of symbols of n elements and the selection order according to the sequence are determined and set (step S1). Then, when setting one of the n symbols at each position of the table as an array element, this setting is begun from the initial position of all the reference axes and is successively carried out till the final position of all reference axes, the symbol is selected in the selection order so that it may not be the same symbol of the array element whose position is already determined in the row of each axial direction for each position, and, for each position of the table, the symbol is replaced with a selectable symbol whose selection order is lower than that of the already determined symbol of the array element at the preceding position of an arbitrary position to continue selection determination (step S2-S9).
