<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch holding mechanism in an image forming device having a process unit component including a paper feeding/conveying component driven by a single motor, a photo conductor and a development device, a driving force transmitting mechanism for transmitting driving force to a fixing/paper delivery component and a clutch for transmitting and cutting the driving force, that can place the clutch for transmitting and cutting driving force to a registration roller at a position where the clutch would not interfere with a process unit driving gear even if the gear has a large diameter, that can replace the clutch with another one easily while considering heat radiation performance, and that hold the clutch accurately. <P>SOLUTION: A clutch is contained in a holder having a box shape with one plane opened, together with a first gear for transmitting driving force from a motor to the clutch and a second gear for meshing with a gear placed on the registration roller to transmit and cut the driving force, and one end of the holder is held at a receiving component placed on the main body side of the image forming device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
