PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly cool a pressure container after heat-cooking by utilizing an already existing cooling fan for cooling electronic components. SOLUTION: This electric pressure cooker is constituted in such a manner that cooling air W from the cooling fan 15 for cooling electronic components can be fed to the lower surface of a plate 11. At the same time, the driving of the cooling fan 15 is continued even after the completion of pressure cooking by providing a controlling means which continues the driving of the cooling fan 15 until a detected temperature by a temperature sensor 12 has decreased to a pressure reduction completed temperature after the completion of the pressure cooking. Thus, the cooling air W from the cooling fan 15 is fed to the lower surface side of the plate, and at the same time, the pressure container 2 which is mounted on the plate 11 under an exposed state is cooled by indoor air as well.
