PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of remarkably increasing anti-hydroplane performance while suppressing the lowering of steering stability and noise performance by basically using vertical grooves and tilt grooves in a specified combination. SOLUTION: A tread surface is divided into a center land part, intermediate land parts 4m, and shoulder land parts by inner and outer vertical grooves 3a and 3b on both sides of a tire equator. The intermediate land parts 4m comprise tilted grooves 9 having an angleθrelative to a tire circumferential direction increased from the inner end thereof apart a specified distance La from the inner vertical groove 3a to an outer end crossing the outer vertical groove 3b. An angleθi at the inner end is 0 to 25°and an angle at the outer end is 60 to 80°. In addition, the pitch interval of the tilt groove 9 in the circumferential direction is larger than the pitch interval of lug grooves formed in shoulder land parts in the circumferential direction.
