PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means in which a detachable surface protective agent of a liquid type coated on a top face of a car can be dried efficiently with little hot air as much as possible, and further, the control of the flow of the hot air can be made easily. SOLUTION: In order to dry the detachable surface protective agent of a liquid type coated on the top face of the car 1, when the hot air is blown into a drying furnace 2 which holds the car 1, the hot air is blown down from a ceiling face of the drying furnace 2 toward the top face of the car 1. Then, the flow of the hot air is fixedly set so that the farthest distance S between the ceiling face of the drying furnace 2 and the top face of the car 1 may be a standard.
