<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color printing controller which can surely carry out necessary addition control for a developing device unit to add a special pattern by a Y color and not to add the special pattern by an MCK color. <P>SOLUTION: The color printing controller comprises an image processing part 21 for converting image data input to be color printed into image data, a special pattern generating part 23 for outputting special pattern data when a special pattern addition signal for adding the special pattern for forgery prevention is inputted, a combining part 22 for combining the special pattern data with the image data when the special pattern addition signal is inputted, and a monitor means for monitoring the presence of the special pattern data.
