<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of accurately displaying an originally displayed part of a partially expanded image even when an original entire image is zoomed while the partially expanded image is displayed. <P>SOLUTION: A partially expanded section 111 enlarges a part of an image, generating a partially expanded image. A display section 104 displays the generated partially expanded image of the partially expanded section 111 overlappingly on the original image. An entire image zoom section 107 performs a zoom processing of the displayed image by the display section 104.
