PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility apparatus with an automatic transmission function capable of informing a service center of specific information in the facility apparatus without troubling a user.

SOLUTION: In a printer 30, a transmission address of the service center stored in an EEPROM 32d and the specific information therein are extracted to transmit the specific information to the transmission address of the service center. The specific information of the facility apparatus is thereby informed to the service center without troubling the user. In this information providing system 10, the specific information is stored in a DB 14 when receiving the specific information of the printer 30. An environment for enabling communication with the printer 30 is thereby easily provided.
