PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a siphon phenomenon prevention type grease interceptor capable of contributing environmental conservation in the public water area without allowing the grease intercepted in the interceptor to flow down to a sewer and having a siphon preventive function with high reliability. SOLUTION: A storage tank body 1 is provided to the siphon phenomenon prevention type interceptor, a body tank inlet 13 is provided to the front wall 3 of the storage tank body 1, an outlet 16 is provided to the rear wall 5 or the side wall 17, and a trap pipe 6 releasing waste water from the outlet 16 is installed inside of the storage tank body 1. In the interceptor having a seal water section 21, an inflow cross cut section 22, a rising section 23, an exhaust rising section 24 and an exhaust cross cut section 25 on the trap pipe 6, an axis angle of a pipe axis (Y'-Y') of the rising section 23 makes an angle of 10 degrees to 80 degrees to the vertical direction.
