<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeping state judging method which enables a precise judgment of a sleeping state depending on an individual difference or the body condition or the like on that day. <P>SOLUTION: This sleeping state judging device includes a biological information detecting unit 11, a sleeping state model unit 12, a display unit 14 which displays the sleeping state and the presence/absence of somnipathy, a user's input unit 15 which inputs user's subjective symptoms or sleepiness, and a learning unit 13. In this case, the biological information detecting unit 11 detects biological information including a skin temperature, a body temperature, a pulse, a heartbeat, a blood pressure, respiration, perspiration and body movements by a sensor. The sleeping state model unit 12 performs clustering by integrating the biological information, forms a model of variations with time of the sleeping state by a state transitional probability, and prepares a sleeping state model which absorbs temporary variations of the biological information. The learning part 13 updates the state transitional probability from the user's subjective symptoms, the sleeping state model in the past, and the falling asleep and the waking up time in the past. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
