<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna state monitoring apparatus and its method for a mobile communication terminal in which an antenna can be exchanged or its use is stopped by sensing that the antenna of the multiplex mode mobile communication terminal is broken or its antenna performance is lowered. <P>SOLUTION: In a transmitting apparatus of the mobile communication terminal configured by including a variable gain amplifier 10, a power amplifier 20 and a duplexer 30, the antenna state monitoring apparatus for the mobile communication terminal is configured by including a current sensing circuit 100 for detecting increase in current consumption of the power amplifier 20 in the case of abnormal operation caused by damage or malfunction of a first antenna of the terminal, a baseband chip 200 which is operated by an output of the current sensing circuit 100, transmits a first output to the variable gain amplifier 10 and transmits a second output to a band changeover switch 300, and the band changeover switch 300 which outputs a signal passed through the duplexer 30 of the terminal to a second antenna by the second output of the baseband chip 200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
