PURPOSE: A dual stage airbag module is provided to reduce manufacturing cost by using a single stage inflator without a dual stage inflator. CONSTITUTION: A dual stage airbag module is composed of an inflator supplying gas to an airbag cushion, a main housing supporting the inflator, and a pressure regulating unit for regulating the pressure of gas in the main housing. The pressure regulating unit includes an auxiliary housing(210) installed at the main housing and having a plurality of gas discharge holes(212), an opening/closing housing(220) communicated with the main housing, a squib(230) disposed in the opening/closing housing, and a pressure guiding member(240) fixing the squib to the auxiliary housing and guiding pressure into the opening/closing housing. |
