<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aqueous pigment dispersion which gives a colored image with high optical density and chroma saturation, hardly causing change of hue or lowering of dispersion stability of particles, and to provide a method for producing an aqueous pigment recording liquid from the obtained aqueous pigment dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: This aqueous pigment dispersion is obtained by the steps of preparing an aqueous pigment dispersion comprising a pigment, a polymer dispersant, an organic solvent and water as indispensable components, and irradiating the aqueous pigment dispersion with ultrasonic waves while cooling the dispersion. This aqueous pigment recording liquid is obtained by diluting the above obtained aqueous pigment dispersion so as to have 1-10 % pigment concentration converted by mass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
