PURPOSE: A pulley assembly for a compressor is provided to smoothly transmit electromagnetic force to a pulley without a structural change of components installed to the pulley, regardless of a change in the diameter of a pulley part of the pulley. CONSTITUTION: A pulley assembly for a compressor comprises a pulley(21) rotatably supported to a compressor; a field coil unit(28) selectively transmitting rotational force of the pulley to a driving shaft; and a flange(30) transmitting electromagnetic force from the field coil unit to the pulley side. An annular space part(24) is formed in the pulley. The field coil unit is received in the annular space part of the pulley, to produce a magnetic field according to the applying state of an electric current. The flange is interposed in a clearance space formed in the annular space part in which the field coil unit is inserted.
