The assembly has a beam projection unit (1) with an interrupter (16) activated for exiting a discrimination signal when a projector cover (10) is removed. Optical axes of a projector (11) and a receiver (21) are aligned with one another such that emitting of infrared beam from the unit (1) and receiving of the beam at a beam reception unit (2) is continued even when the cover (10) and a receiver cover (20) is removed. The beam reception unit (2) receives the discrimination signal transmitted by a transmission circuit from the projecting unit. The beam reception unit (2) has a recognition circuit that receives the discrimination signal and excites a notification signal to notify the withdrawal of the cover.
