TOP STRUCTURE OF SOUND INSULATING WALL FOR ROAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the top structure of a sound insulating wall preventing the occurrence of a secondary disaster due to the scatter and fall of burnt and melted glass wool onto a general living area (the private land side) when a fire spreads along a sound insulating member in a fire caused by a collision accident or the like of vehicles. SOLUTION: A sound absorbing member 5 is mounted to the upper end of a post 3 above the sound insulating wall 1 for a road formed by mounting the sound insulating wall to a plurality of posts 3. A metal net body 6 is arranged in an opposite side position to the sound source side of the sound absorbing member 5 and fixed to the post 3. The upper end of the metal net body 6 is almost flush with the top of the sound absorbing member 5, while the lower end of the metal net body 6 is bent onto the sound absorbing member 5 side, and the lower end part is fixed to the post 3 by brackets 8 mounted to a flange part of the post 3.
