Analytical method for examining binding events between first and second macromolecules (4; 5), is new. Analytical method for examining binding events between first and second macromolecules (4; 5) comprises: (a) preparing a surface on which, in at least one measurement region (6), a fluorescently labeled (4) is bound, and which is at least partly fitted with a fluorescence-suppressing layer (2); (b) a sample liquid containing (5) is applied at least to (6), and (c) fluorescence is measured. (4) has a secondary structure such that its fluorescence is suppressed, by (2), when it is not specifically bound to (5), but fluorescence is not suppressed when (4) and (5) are specifically bound. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing the new method.
