PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily-tearable wrapping material which prevents breakage of the uppermost surface paper at the time of opening and can apply opening direction properties by providing a film tape having direction properties on the uppermost surface (the outermost layer) overlapped with a tearable tape inserting portion, when the tearable tape is inserted inside the innermost layer of wrapping material components using a paper substrate as the uppermost surface to add easily-tearable performance. SOLUTION: This easily-tearable wrapping material is composed of a single-layered or multi-layered wrapping substrate (12) applied with a sealant layer or the like using a paper substrate having a paper basis weight of 10 to 200 g/m<SP>2</SP>, as the outermost layer. The (16) single-layered or multi-layered tearable tape provided with an adhesive layer (18) to be adhered to the innermost layer is inserted in the inner most layer of the tearable portion of the wrapping substrate 12. The tearable portion outermost layer is partially provided with a directional tape (14), via a sticky layer (15), comprising a film (13) or the like having direction properties in the flowing direction.
