<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the output of a motor generator of a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle comprises an engine 2, the motor generator 30, and an axle which are coupled with one of the three elements of a planetary gear drive 20, sun gear 24, ring gear 21, and carrier 23, respectively; a clutch 40 which connects and integrates two of the three elements of the planetary gear drive 20; and a brake mechanism 50 which is provided in the element coupled with the motor generator 30 in parallel with the motor generator 30. Starting is controlled by actuating the engine 2, disengaging the clutch 40, and increasing a reaction force from the motor generator 30. The hybrid vehicle further comprises a demanded driving force detecting means which detects a demanded driving force; and a brake-slip control means which controls the slip of the brake mechanism 50 in the case it is determined that the driving force obtained with only the motor generator 30 taken as a reaction force element of the planetary gear drive 20 does not meet the demanded driving force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
