<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusion sheet which is excellent in heat resistance, thermal dimensional stability and weather resistance and hardly causes bending and yellowing or the like even when the sheet is irradiated with the heat of a lamp or ultraviolet ray, and to provide a back light unit in which unevenness of luminosity and lowering of luminosity are reduced by using the light diffusion sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The light diffusion sheet 1 is provided with a transparent base material layer 2 and a light diffusion layer 3 which is layered on the front surface side of the base material layer 2, the light diffusion layer 3 has a light diffusion agent 5 in a binder 4. The light diffusion sheet 1 is characterized in that the binder 4 is formed of a polymer composition containing polyol having a cycloalkyl radical.
