PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for modeling, i.e. simulating a fixed bed gasifier for biomass such as woody biomass so as to estimate the condition inside the gasifier in high accuracy. SOLUTION: The method for establishing a simulation model of the fixed bed gasifier for biomass for raising simulation analysis accuracy so as to estimate the condition inside the gasifier in high accuracy with minimal experiments involves finely dividing the inside of the fixed bed gasifier into a plurality of reaction layers and circulating gases generated in the gasifier. Thereby, the condition in the gasifier can be shown in high accuracy and the temperature distribution and composition distribution of the generated gases in the gasifier can be understood in detail.
