<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical distribution and information system, which lowers prices of merchandises by ordering and supplying merchandises not through ordering operation contractors or wholesale dealers and reduces lead time from ordering to supplying merchandises by eliminating operations of the dealers. <P>SOLUTION: The system is used in the state that a plurality of chain stores 10a to 10d, a plurality of suppliers 3a to 3d that supply merchandises to the chain stores 10a to 10d, and a physical distributor 5 that collects merchandises of the suppliers 3a to 3d and delivers them to the chain stores 10a to 10d are connected through a network provided with a server 7. According to the system, the chain stores 10a to 10d transmit ordering information to the server 7, and the server 7 checks whether merchandises requested by the ordering information are stocked at a cargo collection center 50.
