PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner diameter processing apparatus, and a method for highly accurately processing an inner diameter without breaking a lapping wire. SOLUTION: This inner diameter processing apparatus has the lapping wire 14 suspended between mutually separately arranged tension devices 12 and 13, a rotary chuck 21 rotated around the lapping wire 14 by holding a tubular body 24 for inserting this lapping wire 14, a shaker 20 for micro-vibrating this rotary chuck 21 along the lapping wire 14, and a processing table 15 mounting the rotary chuck 21 together with this shaker 20 and moving in one direction along the lapping wire 14.
