PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for data communication and its method for taking steps when connection of a communication pathway is uncoupled by an external factor such as exogenous noises or the like. SOLUTION: When a bus reset is generated ( step S4) and even if both apparatuses in connection with each other are not recovered on the bus within 1 sec.(step S5), monitoring on the bus is performed during a predetermined period of time Ts. When the apparatus of the other party becomes recovered on the bus within the predetermined period of time Ts, once again connection is established (step S11) to resume the data communication (step S12).
