<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color tone control device of a printer capable of performing an accurate color matching, which is not affected by dry down. <P>SOLUTION: An ICC profile (WET) 30 of a printer 4 is generated from the color tone measurement values, prior to the dry down of a test sheet, while an ICC profile (DRY) 31 of the printer 4 is generated from a color tone measurement values after dry down.
