<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of a buffer for a compression/decompression processing part. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes a frame memory 1000 wherein image data are stored, a compression/decompression processing part 4000, a buffer memory 3000, and a memory control part 2000. The memory control part 2000 includes: a circuit for writing luminance data Y0, Y1 into a first bank 3100, color difference data Cr, Cb into a third bank 3300, next luminance data Y2, Y3 into a second bank 3200, and the color difference data Cr, Cb into a fourth bank 3400, wherein all of the data are simultaneously received from the frame memory 1000; and a circuit for sending a set of the first bank 3100 (Y0, Y1), the second bank (Y2, Y3) and the third bank 3300 (Cr, Cb), and a set of the first bank 3100 (Y0, Y1), the second bank 3200 (Y2, Y3) and the fourth bank 3400 (Cr, Cb) from the buffer memory 3000 to the compression/decompression processing part 4000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
